Academic Integrity Awareness Across Middle School 2025

In our English lessons, all middle school students (Grades 5, 6, 7, and 8) participated in an engaging and thought-provoking activity focused on Academic Integrity. Throughout the activity, students discussed example sentences and identified which behaviours reflected honesty and which did not.

By sharing real-life examples, students discovered that academic integrity is not limited to schoolwork but is an essential value in everyday life.

At the end of the lesson, students created their own Class Pledge, beginning with the words “I promise…”, to express their commitment to honesty and responsibility. These pledges were displayed on classroom boards to remind students of their promises. Photos were also taken during the activity to capture students’ enthusiasm and active participation.

Through this meaningful experience, students developed a deeper understanding of honesty, responsibility, and making the right choices.
